17.05.2021The project aims at studying numerically the rheological properties of suspensions of hard to soft spheres, dispersed in a Newtonian fluid, which are found in many industrial and geophysical processes.
14.05.2021The application window for the PhD School in Mathematical and Physical Sciences for Advanced Materials and Technologies at the Scuola Superiore Meridionale (Italy) is now open.
05.02.2021The project aims at in-situ studies of the formation of protein domains and their alignment that determines the mechanical properties of meat analogues. A combination of rheology, small angle X-ray and neutron scattering experiments will be used to study the plastification and alignment of protein aggregates under process conditions. The PhD is a collaboration of ILL (Grenoble), ETH Zurich and Planted Foods.
04.02.2021YIELDGAP is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovation Training Network (ITN), funded by the European Commission, Horizon 2020 Program. Commencing its activities in January 2021, the Network will provide PhD training to 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs). This will be a great opportunity for you to focus on your own PhD project and at the same time cooperate with 14 other PhD students in a program including eight universities and six companies interested in advanced rheology.
